  Former President Donald Trump was injured in an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.   A shooter opened fire, injuring Trump's right ear. One spectator was killed and another two were injured.   The shooter is dead. The shots were fired from an elevated position outside the Secret Service's security perimeter for the venue, three senior law enforcement sources said. The FBI has identified the shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. Trump said on social media that a bullet “pierced the upper part” of his right ear before agents whisked him off stage. The Secret Service said it killed the suspected shooter, who attacked from an elevated position outside the rally venue.
